Online Freedom Is Dying

It seems that every western nation all at once is actively working to silence opposition, to scrup the internet clean of anything they deem transgressive.YouTube is frankly just horrible now, and as of 13/8/25, they shall be tracking everything that one watches. We must show ID to access the internet. Streaming services are greedy, squeezing every last drop of money they can out of the consumers, all the while the quality of media continues to degrade. But we have power to combat this. We must stop giving these greedy corporations money. Cancel your subscriptions, use adblockers, use VPNs, it's time to sail the high seas!

Piracy - What To Know

Online piracy is using other means to access media. Illegally downloaded content hosted on a sketchy website. Piracy has existed as long as the internet has, and is a great alternative than paying for 5 streaming services. Though it is important to be safe while pirating, as many sketchy websites exist that. Clicking on the wrong link could get your system infected with malware, which you want to avoid. So, avoid clicking on any links on pirating websites if you can. A great website that has a huge list of great pirating sites is Free Media Heck Yeah.

A Moral Defence of Piracy

Yes, piracy is a crime. That is no secret. So why is it that so many people do it? Who does piracy hurt? Yes, it's true that piracy takes revenue away from the creator(s) of the media being pirated. However, in the case of large corporations such as Netflix, taking money away from them is actually a good thing. We should not be funding monopolies like Neflix, Hulu, Disney, or any other despicable company. You can get past travel restrictions, access media blocked or hard to find, and the ones being hurt are huge buisnesses that do downright evil practices in the name of profit.

Privacy is a Hoax

We are being watched. That is a fact of the internet. Your government is watching everything you do. The internet is no longer private. Our personal information is being sold to anyone and everyone, you are a product, and nothing more. What are some ways that we can protect our online privacy? First off, get a VPN. A good free, open -source, and safe VPN that I personally use and reccomend is Windscribe. You get ten free GB per month, all you need to do is sign up, and they don't sell data. Also, don't use Google, it's basically spyware. An adblocker is essentially a neccesity on the internet. If you don't have one, download one on the extentions store of your browswer. I use AdBlock.

YouTube is Dead - What Now?

I encourage everyone to stop watching YouTUbe, or at least restrict viewing as much as possible. What are some good alternatives? There are many video hosting websites out there. One that people don't think of is actually Internet Archive. There is a good amount of archived videos and music available for free with no ads. Also, sign this petition to get YouTube to get rid of the AI age verification bullshit here.
